ClimateWise Report 2017

We did it again!  During 2017, Foothills Gateway continued to engage in ClimateWise recycling and energy-saving efforts and we have achieved Platinum Partner level! The Platinum Partner level is the highest level for the program.

Recycling:

During 2017, Foothills Gateway recycled 4.5 tons of metal.
By December 2017, Foothills Gateway had recycled 400 cubic yards of single-stream recyclables!
We also recycled 7 tons of mixed office paper during the year and 1 ton of wood!

Energy Saving Building Improvements:

In 2017, we replaced the single-paned windows in the older section of our building with double-paned windows. This improvement should save us more than 17,000 kWh per year.

Additionally, the lights in the gym were replaced with more energy efficient LED lights. This change earned the agency a rebate and should save us around 2,088 kWh per year.
