Children’s Extensive Services Waiver (CES)
Ages Birth through 17
Allows children (under 18) with developmental disabilities or delays, who also demonstrate intensive behavioral and/or medical needs, to be eligible for Health First Colorado benefits.
Qualifying for CES Medicaid Waiver services
- Must be 17 years old or younger
- Child receiving services must live in the family home
- Demonstrate severe medical and/or behavioral needs that require almost constant line-of-sight supervision to ensure safety
- Have a disability as defined by the Social Security Administration (SSA), or have a developmental delay if under the age of five
- Meet financial determination requirements as outlined in the Colorado Code of Regulations and as determined by your local Department of Human Services (DHS)
